One new innovation in the playground world is net climbers. Providing a different challenge for kids and a fresh look to a play area, the rope-based play is currently trending among communities and parks. That’s why Zoom Recreation has partnered with Dynamo Playgrounds to offer you new, exciting products. To discover more about these unique play equipment, here are 5 things you should know about net climbers from Dynamo.
A child holds onto the ropes on a net climber
Our net climbers use ropes that contain 144 steel strands inside and nylon or polyester cable coatings on the outside to provide the safest, most durable ropes in the industry. The ropes also include UV protectants and flame retardant solutions. The picture on the right shows the intricate weaving of the ropes. The special design of the nylon threads results in ropes that are soft and resistant to fraying. We are confident that our rope cables will not break and thus, we offer a 5-year warranty on rope cables.
If you look closely at the picture below, you will see small, silver spheres at the rope intersections. These spheres are what is known as rope connectors. Thus, the ropes are connected with high-density aluminum ball knots, compressed with 120 tons of force. These connectors reduce any risk of friction and therefore maintain the ropes’ longevity. In the case that these durable connectors break, repairs are simple with a portable machine press from Dynamo. In addition, rope connectors on net climbers have a 10-year warranty.

Kids having fun on net climber
Depending on which net climbers you choose, the capacity can range from 17 children to 107 children! Therefore, groups of children can play and climb together without having to waiting in line. Additionally, parents won’t have to worry about the strength of the net climbers. Combined with the unique rope cables and heavy gauge steel frames, these play equipment are designed to last for generations.
While the climbers may seem daunting with the towering heights, our net climbers are designed so that if a child falls, he or she will not drop straight to the ground. Instead, the ropes are layered in a way where the child would simply tumble down before landing on the ground. Moreover, our net climbers include the right amount of slack to ensure the safety of your children.
We understand that ADA accessibility is important. In fact, a recent poll shows how important with 70% of Americans agreeing that having options for children with disabilities is very or extremely important. Thus, most, if not all, of our net climbers are ADA accessible, allowing children with disabilities to have fun too! For example, children in wheelchairs can roll up to a net climber and still grab onto a low-hanging rope.
