Site Amenities Warranty

Zoom Recreation provides commercial site amenities backed by applicable manufacturer warranty coverage. Our team is available to help customers understand their coverage, gather the necessary documentation, and coordinate eligible warranty claims with the applicable manufacturer.

Warranty coverage begins on the original invoice date and applies once the product has been paid for in full. Coverage is valid only when the product has been properly stored, assembled, installed, used, and maintained according to the manufacturer’s written instructions and accepted construction practices.

Site Amenities Warranty Coverage

Qualifying site amenities and components include the following coverage:

  • Lifetime Limited Warranty: Stainless steel hardware
  • 7-Year Limited Warranty: Textured polyethylene and thermoplastic coatings on qualifying seats and tabletops
  • 5-Year Limited Warranty: Structural frames and factory-applied powder coating
  • 1-Year Limited Warranty: Materials and components not otherwise listed

Coverage applies to qualifying defects in materials, manufacturing workmanship, and structural integrity under normal use and environmental conditions.

Product-specific warranty coverage may vary. The warranty documentation associated with the product and manufacturer will determine the final coverage terms.

Warranty Requirements

Warranty coverage is valid only when the product has been:

  • Properly stored before installation
  • Installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions
  • Assembled using approved parts and components
  • Installed according to accepted construction practices
  • Used only for its intended purpose
  • Properly inspected and maintained
  • Subjected only to normal use and exposure

Failure to follow installation, care, or maintenance requirements may void the warranty.

Structural Frame Limited Warranty

Qualifying structural supports for tables and benches include a five-year Limited Warranty for the original purchaser.

This warranty covers rust-through corrosion that compromises the structural integrity of the frame. Qualifying workmanship is also covered for five years.

Structural frame coverage does not apply when damage is caused by:

  • Improper installation
  • Damage caused by an installer or third party
  • Physical impact
  • Salt spray
  • Sprinkler systems
  • Chemicals or chlorine
  • Pollution
  • Misuse or abuse
  • Vandalism
  • Abnormal site conditions
  • Events outside the manufacturer’s control

Powder Coat Limited Warranty

Qualifying factory-applied powder coating includes a five-year Limited Warranty for the original purchaser.

This coverage applies only to the original factory-applied finish. Damage caused by shipping, installation, vandalism, accidents, improper handling, or field modifications is not covered.

Any coating damage that occurs during shipping or installation must be touched up immediately and maintained periodically to help prevent corrosion.

Powder coat defects should be reported when installation is completed.

The following areas may not be covered:

  • Acute angles
  • Welds
  • End plates
  • Areas damaged after leaving the factory
  • Areas that were not properly touched up or maintained

When applied and maintained according to the manufacturer’s recommendations, qualifying powder coating is expected to meet the following standards after five years of exposure:

  • Retain its original color within a ∆E of less than 7.5 units for high-chroma colors and less than 5.0 units for low-chroma colors when tested according to ASTM D 2244
  • Retain at least 50% of its original gloss level after washing when tested according to ASTM D 523
  • Exhibit chalking no worse than a numerical rating of 6 when evaluated according to ASTM D 659-80

Textured Polyethylene and Thermoplastic Limited Warranty

Qualifying textured polyethylene and thermoplastic coatings include a seven-year Limited Warranty for the original purchaser.

This warranty covers corrosion on qualifying seats and tabletops that results in bare-metal exposure.

Coverage does not include corrosion or coating damage caused by:

  • Vandalism
  • Intentional stripping or removal of the coating
  • Scratches, dents, cuts, or physical impact
  • Improper installation
  • Salt spray
  • Sprinkler systems
  • Chemicals or chlorine
  • Abrasive or corrosive materials
  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications
  • Failure to complete required touch-ups or maintenance

Minor cosmetic changes that do not expose the underlying metal or affect the product’s performance may not qualify as warrantable defects.

Modifications and Attachments

The warranty is void if changes, modifications, additions, repairs, or attachments are made to the product without prior written approval from the applicable manufacturer.

Accessories, fixtures, signs, decorations, or other objects may not be attached to the product unless they were specifically designed for that product or have received written manufacturer approval.

General Warranty Exclusions

Warranty Remedies and Limitations

The applicable manufacturer may repair or replace an approved defective component at its discretion.

A defective component does not automatically entitle the customer to a completely new product.

The manufacturer may alter the design, color, material, or other characteristics of a replacement component to correct the condition and help prevent it from occurring again.

Unless otherwise approved in writing, warranty coverage does not include:

  • Site visits
  • Inspection expenses
  • Labor
  • Removal of existing components
  • Reinstallation of replacement components
  • Freight or transportation
  • Equipment rental
  • Loss of use
  • Customer downtime
  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or liquidated damages

The customer may be responsible for returning the complete product or affected component for inspection along with proof of purchase.

No representative may change, expand, or add to the manufacturer’s warranty obligations unless the change is authorized in writing.

Lifetime Warranty Definition

For the purpose of this warranty, “lifetime” does not represent a specific number of years. It refers to the period during which the original customer owns the product and continues to use it for its intended purpose.

Lifetime coverage applies only to qualifying stainless steel hardware and does not include damage caused by:

  • Vandalism
  • Misuse or abuse
  • Unauthorized alterations or modifications
  • Altered or unapproved parts
  • Cosmetic scratches or dents
  • Fading or weathering
  • Normal wear and tear

Warranty claims must be submitted within the applicable warranty period and accompanied by the original sales order or invoice number.
