We handled the new 2-5 aged play structure, rubber surfacing, site work, and the hip shade over the entire space.

The Challenge

The site originally had poor drainage, which would completely flood the area when heavy rain occurred.

Our Solution

We took this into account up-front, and included a large sump drain into the design to allow for a drainage system for additional water run-off. Having a 4" sub-base foundation of compacted road base also provided for additional drainage help for this site, as the water percolates right through the Pour-in-Place rubber and down through that crushed stone.

Having the opportunity to work with some of the highest level design professionals in the recreation space here in Southern California is a true blessing. I’ve been able to learn a ton over the years on how to really create both a functional and aesthetically pleasing design. Anchored down in San Diego, when I’m not working, I’m appreciating all that this city has to offer.
